How do I book a lesson?

You need to find an available instructor using the postal code search for your area. Once you find an instructor that's “Taking on new learners,” you can easily book yourself directly onto their diary. From then on, you’ll be able to make all future bookings with your instructor from your dashboard.

How do I pay for my lessons?

You can pay for lessons either in cash upon meeting with your instructor or, to make life easier, pay online when booking your lesson on Driveli.

Can I reschedule a lesson?

To reschedule your lesson, you need to cancel your current lesson first and then book a new one using the Driveli app.

How long do lessons last?

Instructors choose the duration of their lessons. They typically start from an hour long and can go up in intervals of 1.5 hours, 2 hours, etc.

When are lesson payments charged?

For all online payments, funds are taken immediately to secure the booked lesson.

Do you keep my payment details?

Driveli does not store any of your card payment details.

What happens if I can't afford the next lesson?

We advise that you speak to your instructor and arrange a payment plan.

How do I cancel a lesson?

To cancel your lesson, log into your dashboard on Driveli and go to bookings. Click on “more info,” and the option to cancel is there. Please be aware that the cancellation policy applies. Any booked lessons canceled within 48 hours are non-refundable.

Can I get my money back?

If you or your instructor cancels a lesson, your money will be refunded within 5 working days. However, if you have made an advance payment to your instructor in cash or via bank transfer, Driveli is not liable for this.

Am I eligible for a refund?

You are eligible for a refund if the lesson is not delivered and your instructor has canceled your lesson. If you cancel your lesson outside the 48-hour period, you will have your funds returned within 48 hours.

What if my instructor doesn't refund me?

If a lesson hasn’t been refunded without being given, please contact us. These occurrences can happen due to human error, family emergencies, or “force majeure.” We believe all problems can be resolved through simple communication. You cannot request a refund if a lesson has been provided to you. Driveli is a facilitator of services for the instructor; we are not a driving school.

What if my Instructor/Student grossly misbehaves, is inappropriate, threatening or worse?

We do not tolerate aggressive behavior from either the learner or the instructor. In such cases, we ask that you contact the authorities and inform Driveli as a matter of record.

How much does it cost me?

Costs are made up of the number of booked lessons you make with your instructor. There may be a small service charge for the learner upon booking their lesson. This cost helps facilitate the lesson and covers the features you gain from Driveli.

How do I let students know when I am available?

Instructors set their diary settings on their dashboard. Instructors can set their available days, times, lesson length, and the time between lessons. Instructors can also block particular lesson slots and unblock them as needed.

Is the lesson time “set in stone” or can I move it?

You can change the lesson times, lesson duration, and time between lessons as an instructor at any time. However, if you have a learner booked into a previously created lesson, that booked learner will stay unless you decide to cancel it from your dashboard.

How do I get paid?

Once a learner makes a payment for a lesson, Driveli holds the money in an instructor connect account. Once the lesson has been delivered and the instructor has scored the learner on their performance, the money becomes available to you immediately. Processing payments for fraudulent activities may take up to 5 working days.

How do I add Time Off or Holidays?

Instructors can book time off and holidays in several ways. To book a complete holiday and prevent further bookings, instructors can go to their calendar settings and toggle all their days to 'not working.' To book specific time off, instructors can block out lesson slots at any time. They can also unblock them as needed. However, instructors with prior booked lessons with learners must still deliver those lessons or cancel them from their dashboard.

Can I give students discounts?

Driveli is developing a student discount option allowing a percentage scale discount based on the quantity of booked lessons made by learners. This is still in development.

What if I have an emergency or unexpected leave?

In all cases, we advise you to communicate directly with the instructor/learner about your circumstances and let them know. It is also advisable to set these changes on your Driveli dashboard. We have made it extremely user-friendly; blocking out your times can be done within minutes.

Can I swap/give students to other instructors?

If you wish to pass a student to other instructors, you are perfectly allowed to do so.

Can students get refunds on bulk purchases?

Yes, they can. As long as no lessons fall within the 48-hour period. Any lessons canceled within the 48-hour period will be non-refundable.

Why do you need so much information about me?

We only ask for the minimum amount of information from both the learner and instructor. For learners, we ask for your full name, contact number, and address. These are only used for your instructor to contact you and to know where to pick you up for your lesson. For instructors, the same applies. Learners look for driving schools near their area and want to know the areas you cover and the test centers you operate around. Instructors need to provide detailed information about their driving school and bank to receive their online payments made by learners.

Why do you need my bank details?

For instructors to receive payments into their business bank account, you need to upload details of your driving school and the bank where you wish to receive your payments.
